Regardless of the season that you're in, and whether you are having a new baby, your babies are having their B'nai Mitzvahs or your teenagers are going off to college, this time in your life deserves to be captured by something other than your iPhone.
Family sessions are how I got started in this business and I will never stop shooting them.
I love creating photos to remind families that in spite of the fact that their laundry room looks like an episode of hoarders, and the kids are eating breakfast for dinner, their story is beautiful.

what do we do if it rains or if it looks like it might rain?
Thankfully we don't run in to this problem often in AZ however, Monsoon season does exist. No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule. I have been known to break out umbrellas and wellies and play in the rain!
How far in advance should I book a portrait session?
The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the holiday season, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
I prefer to shoot a couple of hours before sunset so keep that in mind when looking at your busy calendar. I can help with exact timing depending on the time of the year.
What should we wear?
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
I put together a style guide with tips for every member of the family. I'm also around to answer questions, any of my clients text me photos and ask for my opinion. And if you know me; you know I always have one.
We're awkard in photos and my kids never sit still.
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I'll coach you through images, I know you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones...I have 2 of my own!
How will I receive my photos? Can I order prints?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as mobile ordering your latte. No need to worry about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format. I take care of all of that for you.
